Thatcham BSI Kitemark – PAS125 Approval

The Alton Cars Group currently holds the Thatcham BSI Kitemark for Vehicle Body Repair at the Leeds, Barnsley, Harrogate and York sites, while the Huddersfield bodyshops are working towards the standard. The bodyshop group has the capability to repair accident damage on aluminium and composite materials as well as boron and high strength steels.

This gives customers the confidence that their vehicles have been repaired to an independently audited standard and will perform to the vehicle manufacturer’s original intended safety specification in any subsequent accident.

Managing Director Tony Parish was instrumental in shaping the rigorous standard, recognising the enormous safety implications involved in correctly repairing today’s highly complex vehicles, and he sits on the Kitemark Body Repair working committee which ensures the standard continues to evolve in line with vehicle manufacturer developments.
