Alton Cars Group - Yorkshire's Leading Kitemark Accident Repair Centres
Not all bodyshops are the same
At Alton Cars, our number one priority as a Thatcham BSI Kitemark approved accident repair centre is your safety. Whether you are a vehicle driver, passenger, pedestrian, insurer or fleet manager, you want to know that any vehicle on the road will behave in the way the manufacturer intended, in the event of an accident.
Manufacturers invest huge sums of money to ensure that vehicles achieve high ratings for occupant and pedestrian safety in EuroNCAP tests, which play a huge factor in the vehicle buyer’s decision. However, the results of these ratings only apply up until a vehicle has an accident. It is at this point that the bodyshop of your choice influences the future performance of your car in any subsequent crash. A recent expose on Channel 5’s Fifth Gear (click here) demonstrates how critical this can be.
Alton Cars Group strongly believe that your vehicle should always perform the way the manufacturer intended. That’s why every body repair we undertake is carried out to the Thatcham BSI Kitemark Standard. All our technicians are fully trained to perform any type of cosmetic or structural repair and ensure that the correct method is used for repairing your vehicle. We use manufacturer’s genuine body parts in most cases, and only use certified non-original parts (which have undergone rigorous testing and perform to the same level as manufacturer parts) to either make a repair economically viable or where instructed to do so by an insurer. Every vehicle body repair we do carries a lifetime guarantee.
Before you choose a bodyshop to repair your vehicle, make sure you look for the Kitemark symbol, ensure that only approved parts and methods are going to be used to repair your accident damage, and remember: Not all bodyshops are the same.
